Home Reading Program

We believe that reading is a very enjoyable activity and an empowering skill. All skills need to be practised and that is one reason why we have a home reading scheme. Home Reading is also an activity which allows children to experience various text types and to widen their reading experiences and general knowledge. The NSW DET recommends that children in K-2 should read for at least 10 minutes per night and children in 3-6 should read for at least 15 minutes per night. To encourage children to participate in the Home Reading Program we offer the following incentives:
