Normal School Routine

8.45am – Playground supervision commences; students can begin active play

9.15am – Morning Assembly / students line up and move into class

11.15am – Lunch – students begin the lunch structured play period

11.45am – Students move to designated areas to eat lunch

                Canteen is open Monday to Friday for breakfast, lunch orders and lunchtime snacks.

11.55am – End of lunch – students line up to move into class

 1.55pm – Recess – students may eat under the COLA then enjoy a short play time

 2.15pm – Students line up and move back into class

 3.00pm – School concludes; students dismissed

School Assemblies

A short assembly is held each Monday morning at 9.15 am

A more formal assembly is held each Friday at 12.00 noon.

Awards are presented at Monday morning and Friday assemblies.

At the end of terms 1, 2 and 3 a parent/community assembly is held during which special awards are presented. Items by the children reflect a sample of the work that they have done or the activities in which they have been involved.

In term one, the assembly is linked to Grand Parents and Grand Friends Day. In 2009, this will also include the Easter Hat Parade.

In term two, the assembly is linked to Naidoc Day.

In term three, the assembly will highlight our finalists in the school public speaking competition.

 

A formal Presentation Day is held towards the end of 4.
